What do you Prefer?? Am I Crazy?

Rich and I just got back from a wonderful, relaxing trip from Miami. It was short and much needed. Rich's company flew us to Miami for the Weekend for an Awards banquet. Rich won two very prestigous awards: Membership rep of the Year and Trainer of the year! This was throughout the whole Nielsen company. Way to go Rich! Anyway, They put us up in a 5 star hotel right in Miami beach on the Bay. It just opened up in November and was over $350/per night. ugh!

So Here is my question would you prefer a 5 Star Hotel like the Mondorian that we stayed in or a 3 Star hotel like the Holiday Inn?? Here is my Debate!(By the way I am not complaining, how could I it was free!)
Mondorian Vs. Holiday inn
Mondorian $350+/night vs. Holiday inn $79-$150
Mondorian breakfeast starting at $20 Vs. Holiday in Breakfast free
Mondorian Valet Parking only $35/day +tip, hold open doors for you, take your bags upstairs for you +tip!
Holiday inn free parking most places. Do everything yourself for free!

Mondorian friday night Rave in cocktail dresses can't even move to dance and everyone has 2 alcoholic beverages in their hand and drunk as can be, not even remembering how boring the rave was the night before.
Mondorian (no kidding). 1oz bottle of shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body wash to use. $29 each. AHHH and they post the prices in the wine cabinet so you can't see it or even know that they cost til after you get your bill! yes I used them on accident!

Holiday Inn all of that for FREE

Both have great pools and nice decor....uhhh except the mondorian has chandelairs in the shower and the water comes out of it AND THERE IS A CREEPY GIRL PAINTED ON THE WALL LOOKING STRAIGHT AT THE BED WITH HUGE EYES!

Sooooo! What kind of style do you like? let me know. I actually prefer the 3 star Holiday Inn. am I crazy?

Anyway, Rich an I had a great time and Neilsen paid for everything including the $29/ shampoo, food, The gator farm(awesome), The boat/land tour of miami, The magic show, the parking, and the car rental. It was a lot of fun! Not to metion it was even better because we got to celebrate our 10 year anniversary while we were there! Thanks to Eileen and Jen for watching the boys!

Definitely Holiday Inn! And that lady's face on the wall is really weird. How could you sleep with her looking at you all night.

Couldn't agree with you more--it doesn't make any sense to pay more for a five star hotel, when it's not even that much nicer and then on top of that you have to pay extra for internet access, parking, breakfast, etc. But I'm glad you had a good time!

Holiday Inn for me! I care too much for a dollar than to spend it on stuff that I don't need or could do without, but if someone is paying for it I'll stay at the five star even with the creepy girl!
